Magic Thread

I remember using this stuff when I was younger to float objects, etc. I recently bought some thread and wax online, but can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the individual "invisible" threads from the whole without causing it to get all natted up. Any suggestions?

find one strand, wrap the loose strand only around a piece of a tape a couple of times (or you could use wax) and then stick that end somewhere. Lightly grasp the rest of the threads at the end nearest the tape and gently pull away from the tape. Hope that helps.
