Michael James or Michael Herp

I've noticed he has two different names. Why?
Sorry if it is a stupid question, just couldn't figure it out

Michael James used to be called michael herp but he changed it to Michael James

My full name is actually Michael James Herp - so you'll hear James, Herp, and MJ pretty frequently around here Hope this cleared things up!
