It's been said a few times, but I personally think the most important sleight is the double lift, and it's also the one that is most consistently done badly sleights, spend any amount of time looking at magic videos on youtube (or even some magician's specials on tv and netflix) and you will see awkward turnovers or horrible blocky get readies.
I think because it's one of the first things learnt and in its essence it is very simple, it's often over looked with not enough time taken to get it perfect.
