Dude, the muscle pass is not easy. How much coin magic do you already know? Because if you don't have your fundamentals down, the muscle pass will end up being a cheap gimmicky move that you use only rarely and people will probably suspect you of having a gimmicked coin anyway.

Steer is correct. Unless you plan on putting a ton of effort, time and commitment into nailing it down to look impressive...I'd pass (ha ha - no pun intended) on the muscle pass. I was at the magic castle watching a close up performer and he performed a muscle pass in his routine and the audience didn't even really react much to it. I tracked the guy down out in the hall and told him how impressed I was at his height on his muscle pass and the naturalness and he said "thanks"...magicians are the only ones who really appreciate it.

I highly recommend Shoot Ogawa's Master of the Muscle Pass DVDs. Not only does he teach the move in exquisite detail, slowly building the difficulty level, but he also teaches some excellent applications for the move that aren't just the standard falling-up effect. As Steer and Rick have said, the muscle pass can quickly become just a novelty for other magicians to appreciate if used how most people use it, but I think Shoot's teaching really opens up a lot of possibilities.
