need help with thread from wayne houchin

i have a few questions about thread:
1.
is it important to use the same type of visine than wayne houchin
2.
is it normal that it hurts the first time(now my eyes are very red)?
3.
do i need to wash the thread before the set up (my fear is to infect myself)?

It doesn't have to be exactly the same - but it should be of a similar type. He says what you're looking for - listen to him.

Make sure you're using the right kind of thread. You do not want "mercerized".

It should be clean already - as long as you're taking it off the spool.

or have i done smth. wrong
and i am from germany, and do not perfectly understud what he said about the visine.
now i have the standard visine, is this going to work?

I use Visine Totality. As long as you use 100 percent cotton thread and soak it in visine, it should be fine. It hurts just a bit, but not much at all. The more you do it, the easier it gets. Just keep experimenting.
