It looks like it could be similar to the Ovette Master Move (also known as the Kelly Bottom Placement). Are you familiar with that move?

Definitely similar to the Kelly Bottom Placement. Though there's some logic missing here. Why would you put the card in the middle only to cut the deck and show it again? Over-convincing.
