One Handed Fan Help

The fan was one of my second flourish (first was charlier cut) When i first learned i just kept going till i got a nice roundish fan but recently ive been seeing people who do these crazy fans the bend and it looks cool. ive looked it up and its says its a one handed fan. so am i doing something wrong or is it just a completely different fan

There's a lot of variants of a one handed fan, if you could post some videos of the fans you're looking at, we might be able might be able to figure out what these variants are
