Hi Guys,
For those of you who think this trick is too good to be true, this review is for you.
I bought this trick mainly for the fact that it is a trick by Daniel Madison, and for some reason I've got all his stuff.
This is a good trick, but not all of it. The version I made up to try it out was the first version of the trick, whereas the trick description tells you a different way of making up the deck. its really up to you.
Basically, the effect with the normal Pariah deck is getting rid of the use of a force, and finding out the spectators card while it is in the middle of the deck which is in a box. In my opinion this is a bit pointless. I made it up before reading the effect, but oh well! you can however, which i like, is have them take the card, show it has disappeared from the deck and show its in your pocket.
The version I want to make up however, is the strongest effect I have ever had the pleasure of buying. The effect: the spec takes a card, writes ANY word on it, puts it back in the deck which is in the box, and the magician tells you what card it was, and the word. no forces no nothing. MAGIC!
The method is a bit tricky, and when I first performed this I was really afraid someone would catch me out. Just use a bit of misdirection.
Also, as the box is slightly dodgy, it can be slightly problamatic if you pull out an empty box ( if you have the trick you'll know what I mean)
All in all, I'd say that maybe this isn't worth the money, but maybe for a mentalist for the second effect, which is just awesome!
I hope you enjoy this very honest review, and you consider it as a fun thing to try out. You never know, it might be your thing.
