Hello users of theory11!!!
Hello, my name is Matt and I have been getting back into magic recently. I've been wanting to perform stage magic and I have been given the opportuntie to do so. However, under certain circumtances, I have been given a different type of audience. My audience, let's say, is like a class room. Where I am dealin with about 30 people. I know some close up magic tricks and stage tricks.
My close up magic tricks I can really deal if its between 1 and maybe up to 10 people in a circle around me. Stage magic I usually perform without really saying anything. Like Jeff McBride when he performs his card manipulation routines or his masks. I don't really know what to do for a slightly bigger audience and I am looking for new material.
I have recently began practicing card flourishes like rubix cut, sibil cut, etc. I know jeff mcbrides card manipulations from his video. I know some other close up magic, I mainly work with cards. But of course, I am open to try anything to help step up my game. I have all the time for practice, I just need a bit of help to get me started.
I have only performed on stage twice in my life. Once in high school and once in college. Both doing similar things. I have practice with other people when it comes to somewhere around 5 or 6. However, I just don't know what to do or say when the audience has become bigger. Probably because I don't really have a trick for everyone. I am open to any suggestions please. Anything is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
