Practicing Believe?

1 deck, and I used both corners too. Also, I used the ripped cards (with 1 ripped corner) for Angle Zero.

Why not, what is stopping you from doing it?
The fact that:
1) I destroy multiple cards.
2) There are more powerful effects out there that work better than me that I could dedicate my time towards.
I haven't kept track. I think I'm finishing a second deck. (I have a bunch of old, orphaned cards that I've mixed together just for the purpose of practicing tearing them.)
I haven't performed "Believe" yet because I just need more practice. I keep messing up the corner. (That's all I'll say without exposure). I'm not above tearing more cards/decks to get the effect down perfectly.

About 2 or 3 decks... I also ripped both corners usually, and in some cards I even went so far as to rip all four corners of the card.
Believe, second only to the forces of nature, is the number one destroyer of playing cards in my hands. On an average night out performing, it magically makes about 1/4 of the deck vanish. But for the reactions - it's unquestionably worth it. Usually I'll carry around a more worn deck especially for Believe.
As a side note, has anyone else tried performing this on the spectator's hand when a table is not available? This past weekend was the second time I've done it in this manner in recent memory (on the back of their hand, held still), and it has worked extremely well both times.

Me three.
Cards are expensive (for me at least) and I wasn't about to go waste my cards for one effect when there are heaps and heaps of other effects that are just as strong that don't destroy cards.
Yeah haha, you Americans who can walk down the street and buy bricks of bikes for like $13 take it for granted

I had a play with the back of the spec's hand idea a little while ago after reading your first post about it, luckily I usually do table stuff, but it works and on the few occasions I've done the effect that way it's KILLED them.
Practice on a magician friend or something first though as you've more chance of finding some way to knock the piece to the floor as you wave or sneeze something when you've just got a little hand to use as a table!
I don't know about JB, but I ask the spec to clench their fist as when their finger are outstretched it's a bit awkward to wave over. When the fist is clenched the highest point it in the middle where the corner is so it's MUCH easier to do the change.
