Hey so i just got a job at three restaurants wanting me to go around and preform magic for customers, one restaurant is making me work for tips only and other two are paying, i was wondering if anyone has any good tips or advice to doing this well?
There is nothing wrong with working for tips at a restaurant keep in mind even if you are not getting paid
you are still meeting people who can hire you for gigs.
i have a two restaurant gigs right now one pays $75 for two hours the other i only get tips but i am makingThe problem with working for tips is that you are not getting paid for your time at the restaurant. Sure, people later on MIGHT hire you for gigs, but why waste your time with the "maybe". If you are getting paid nightly or hourly at the place and it's a slow season, you are still making a profit. Rather than if you are just working for tips, you'll barely break even and most likely will end up hating the place you are working at, because not every table is going to tip you, and if the table FEELS like you are trying to hustle them, they most likely won't want to hire you later for a gig.
