Return of : THE WEEKLY DEBATES

That's right!

After giving everyone some rest from the debates I will begin posting them up again. I have began to develop some new questions which I feel are better than the Original questions and will entice more readers. So without further ado here are all the rules and info needed to take part in the WEEKLY DEBATE...

For anyone who doesn't know what the WEEKLY DEBATE is then let me explain it to you breifly.

A few months ago began to write a question every week that people could discuss and debate. They were like the Cerca Trova section only each question will remain open forever so you may revisit it at anytime. These debates caused some interesting discussions. Some questions that were asked included:
"DO YOU LIKE CRISS ANGEL? WHY OR WHY NOT?"
"WILL YOUTUBE OR OTHER VIDEO SITES BE MAGICS DOWNFALL?"

I really enjoyed these but decided that I would leave it up to the people to decided wether they should stay or go. The final vote came down to the threads downfall. However, I have recently decided to ressurect them with all new questions that are much more controversial and are almost guarunteed to start some great debates...

THE RULES...

Obviously if the title has debate in the name then debating and arguing must be okay. However, there are some rules that you must follow in order to keep this controlled...

WHAT NOT TO DO...

1: No racism or sexism
2: No swearing
3: No exposure
4: No Bashing of other Sites.

WHAT YOU CAN DO...

1: Argue and make others know your opinion is the right one
2: Bring up other sites and products
3: Provide links to videos or web pages.
4: Admit you are wrong
5: Prove you are right

Remember guys, that arguing is only sincere and names and such should not be thrown around along with profanity's.

GOT IDEAS FOR A DEBATE TOPIC? TELL ME!!!

If you have an idea for a really great debate topic then feel free to PM me your idea. I would love to hear it. Also, if it gets picked. I will give you the credit by saying "This topic was thought of by _____."

!!!NEW!!! THE GREAT DEBATER OF THE WEEK !!!NEW!!!

Every week I will also, be taking part in the debates and I will be reading everyone else thoughts and opinions. Every week I will single out the person that I think did the best job debating with others and name him "THE GREAT DEBATER OF THE WEEK."
This will go to people who had excellent posts and ideas and did not break the rules.

If you are chose to be a "GREAT DEBATER OF THE WEEK" You will be notified via PM and you will be mentioned in the next weeks post...

Hmm... whilst I think discussion and debates amongst ourselves are good... The majority of people thought these should be discontinued. Can you not let an old dog have it's day and instead let nature run it's course?

Still, I'm all for new and exciting things on the forums I spend nearly every day on here reading and I love in-depth threads with a lot of discussion.

It's not going to be fair because Sean_Raf will always win the master debater title.

I think if someone wants to talk about something they will start a thread. That said if you can bring
good topics that hav'nt been beat to dealth in discussion already your going to get good reponses but you
have to bring it. Which may be hard to come up with. I'm glad your trying something, will see how it turns out.

4: The title thing is just so people can see who had a really pursuasive answer. Hrom that we will be able to learn a skill that isn't neccesarily magical. But, rather the skill to pursuade someone.
5: If Sean-Raf wins them all he will be disqualified from the running.

I'm sorry to bring up a dead thread (it's one of my personal pet peeves, so I can't believe I'm doing it, but I digress.), but a Debater of the Week? You're kidding, right? Who is to say that one person's opinion, or rather how they display that opinion is better than the next person's? A kid still in High School? Sorry, but that doesn't cut it for me. Actually, you being in High School, College, whatever doesn't make a difference- I just don't think it's fair/right. On a brighter note, I'd like to submit a vote to change the name from "Debater of the Week" to "Master Debater".
