Hey guys! If you didn't already know, we are now carrying Amazebox by Mark Shortland, a utility which allows you to predict what a room full of people are thinking, without sleight of hand, under test conditions. It's a genius piece of magic, and we are extremely glad to be carrying it here at theory11.

Tonight's contest is based on the idea of doing magic with a box. The challenge this week is to create an effect that involves a box in some way. You could use a playing card box, shoebox, cardboard box, etc. If it is a box, you can use it for your effect. The main criteria we are looking for is creativity, originality, and execution. We want to see an effect that we might not have thought of before, or is extremely unique. These factors will play a big factor in determining the winner this week.

Film and upload your performance of your effect to either YouTube, Vimeo, or Instagram, and post the link to your video in response to THIS forum thread by no later than 7:30pm EST tomorrow, Sunday, November 15th. Once time is up, our panel of judges will go through all submissions and decide on a winner based on the criteria listed above.

What can you win this week? 1,000 Elite Member Points and your very own Amazebox by Mark Shortland!

We are excited to see what you guys can come up with. Think outside the box, and get to brainstorming!

More than 6 hours of thinking, this contest was so much fun, during making this box I've got about other 5 magic ideas using boxes but they are quite complicated to complete in 24 hours so i picked the NO gimmicked idea to film, enjoy :)

Hey guys, apologize for the delay in results! This contest is super difficult to judge; a TON of amazing magic this week, guys. REALLY good stuff here. It's gonna take us a bit to decide on a winner, so we are going to be posting results tomorrow. Thanks for understanding!

Ah man! The result has now migrated into Tomorrowland!

It's all good. This week was a bit of a tough one. But man, nothing but quality entries. If the results have to go into Monday, you know you're doing something right.

Alright guys, after much though and deliberation, we have come to a winner. This was not easy, believe me. Tons and tons of great magic this weekend; you guys should be proud of the work you did. The bar was set extremely high with your efforts, and it's what makes these types of contests great! We even had guest judge Blake Vogt help determine this week's winner.

With that said, we felt that the winner this week definitely provided a "wow" factor with his effect, as well as showcasing an effect that we haven't really seen before. It was definitely original and creative in plot, and the execution was fantastic. Overall, we feel that the member who fit the criteria the best and closest was Justin Morris! Congrats! Please contact our support team to claim your prize!

However, we feel that these 4 entries definitely deserve recognition for making this contest one of the closest to date. Our honorable mentions are:

Once again, we could not have been more pleased with the quality of magic you guys created this weekend. Just when we think that the bar couldn't be set higher, you guys crush it time and time again. We can't wait to hold another contest this Saturday! See you at 7:30pm EST. :)
