Hey guys, hope everyone is having a great start to the new year! One of our most recent product releases is the M-Case by Mickael Chatelain. This creation by Mickael is an automatic, invisible, instant switching device that can be added immediately into your performing repertoire. Not only is it self contained, you can carry your normal deck inside of your M-Case to be ready to perform at a moment’s notice. Resets in seconds, and the applications are limitless!

We wanted to kick off the new year with a particular technique in magic that we haven't looked at in a long time from a contest perspective. The switch. Switches are a staple in performing magic, whether it be a card switch, a deck switch, a coin switch, the switch of a prop, etc. Magicians use switches all of the time, however it is also one of the scariest techniques to execute when starting out. It takes an extra ounce of confidence to start using switches in your performances, and it is an important stepping stone in your progress as a magician. Tonight, we want to put our focus on the switch.

Your challenge? Create a new switch, or improve upon an existing switch. What can you switch? Anything you want! We want you to be creative with what you switch and how you switch it. While it does not have to be used in a full effect, you will earn bonus points for using your switch in one. We are looking for creativity, execution, and overall impact of the switch. Was it creative? Was it timed well? Was it smooth? Did it make sense? These are some of the questions we will ask when we are judging.

Film and upload your switch to either YouTube, Vimeo, or Instagram and post the link to your video in response to THIS forum thread by no later than tomorrow, Sunday, January 7th at 11:00pm EST. Once time is up our panel of judges will go through all submissions and decide on a winner based on the criteria listed above.

What can you win? We're starting this year off with a bang. 1,000 Elite Points, M-Case by Mickael Chatelain, and Perfect Square by JB Dumas and Michael Lam.

Good luck! We look forward to seeing what you guys can come up with. This will be a fun one!
