Hi everyone! We hope your weekend is going great. Monday marks a pretty special milestone — 19 years since theory11 first came to life from a small Charleston, South Carolina garage.

Since that launch, we’ve designed hundreds of decks, taught and shared original magic effects, and even produced shows with Dan White, Justin Willman, Blake Vogt, Franco Pascali, and others.

With your support, we’ve been able to push the boundaries of what’s possible in both playing cards and magic. What started as a small idea back in August 2007 has grown into something much bigger, brought to life by a team of artists, designers, creators, and dreamers, and strengthened every day by this community.

To celebrate our 19th anniversary, we’d love to hear your favorite moment with theory11, no matter how new or how long you've been around. Your passion for the industry that we love keeps this whole adventure alive, and we'd love to hear your favorite moment from over the years!

Drop your reply in this thread before Monday, August 31st at 11pm EST. Once entries close, we’ll randomly select one winner to receive 1,000 Elite Points, 3 Monarch Prestige Playing Cards, and 3 X-Men Playing Cards — shipped anywhere in the world, completely free.

Best of luck, and thank you for being part of this story with us.

This one is easy for me. 2007. I still remember the launch of Theory11. Trying to decipher the code, all the mystery surrounding it. It felt like a breath of fresh air and even then it felt like something exciting and a different direction for modern magic. The original artists promoting the site - legends, OGs, new blood, god what a time!

Scoring Gold Artisans playing cards at Target was peak moment for me. It was such a lowkey unannounced Easter egg that made every Target trip special, maybe I will score this time or maybe not. I wish you guys would bring that back!

Theory11 was actually my first deck of cards! A few months ago, I rode my bike to Walgreens and got some sodas with my friends. I saw the playing card section and looked. I saw the Artisans and thought they were really neat! I bought them, and that's where the collection started. Since then, I've gotten 6 free decks from Saturday Night Challenge.

Thank you so much for all these giveaways, Casey! I'm a broke high school student, and it would mean the world to me if I even got 1 of those free Monarch Prestige decks! Thank you again to all those who work at Theory11. You will always have a place in my heart.

Definitely the Holoday wheel. Ive been looking forward to spinning it every year for over a decade now! I still vividly recall winning a deck for first time - I didn't think it was real until the cards showed up on my doorstep.

Wow! 19?
Now that makes me feel old haha
My favourite moment was easily that evening that we were trying to solve some of the hidden clues. People were messaging back and forth, sharing some ideas, keeping other ideas secret. Casey, I remember I even gave you a hint as to where on the picture to look: on the collar of the yellow T-shirt for the final clue!
Then a knock at your door. A package.
Hearing about the extent that theory 11 went to was insane.
Those puzzles made me a fan for life.
That evening was insane.

I would say the release of the first "Monarchs Playing Cards" decks. When they came out, I think the standard of playing cards got a huge jump in quality and design...
