What is the name of the saw that daniel madison did? The one where you can take a ring or a lifesaver and pull it out with a string
I know it is called saw but who is it by?

I believe Saw is created by Sean Fields.

It's by a guy named Sean Fields I believe. He also wrote the book "Explicit Content". I'm thinking that you can actually pick up that effect over at Ellusionist. At least, that's where I picked mine up.

It's called lifesaver (im pretty sure atleast)

It's a variation of Saw called "Choke" taught on the Saw DVD by Sean Fields. I have a video of myself performing it somewhere on the interweb.

saw was created by sean fields. the variation with the lifesaver is called choke. the other variations are saw, suture, and trechea.
