Silent Cardini Change

I'm working on my cardini/ego change and in both of them I make a really loud popping sound and I can't figure out how to make it silent, if that is even possible.

lots and lots of practice it take a while

make sure you got a thumb break to

cardini and ego change are different things.
the cardini isnt meant to be silent whereas the ego is.
cards are held in a different grip when doing the ego change.

The cardini does not need to be silent because you are doing a flicking motion which makes you it look like you flicked the card

isnt that called the cardini-snap change? i think the bucks referred to that in the trilogy. or is that a variation?

No, what is commonly called the Cardini Change was originally listed in Hugard's Card Manipulations Series 3 as "The Cardini Snap Color Change". So omitting the word colour à la Erdnase Change, Winter Change, etc., technically the name should be the Cardini Snap Change.
