I apologize for the unrelated subject matter of this thread, but I observed from a recent hobbies thread that quite a few members are into rubik's cube solving, or speedcubing.

I have been interested in the past, but wish to have another go at it, I was wondering if there is an ideal recommended resource or method for solving.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The Fridrich method is the most used method around.

Here are my recommendations.

http://badmephisto.com/ : Has a great website, easy to understand, Badmephitso has lots of youtube videos for beginners and also advanced people. You can download pdf's of F2L, Oll, and Pll's. Or a PDF of the entire Fridrich method. He also has a good notation guide on his PDF.

http://www.speedcubing101.com/index.html : Very simple website for Pll and OLL.

http://blueknightcubing.com/ : Another good resource!

HOPE that helps!

I thank you was well. I was searching for a place to learn the PLL and OLL and couldn't find one, so this helps.

Although I don't currently have a cube :(

Go buy the store bought one at walmart. What i do is open 3 and choose the one that is best. I wouldn't recommend buying a speedcube online unless you reach sub-25.. AT LEAST! But if you did want to buy one.. THe best cubes in my opinion are the Alpha-V, and the dayan Zhanchi.
