The Atlanta Area?

Hello all! I'm rather new to these forums, so I apologize if this is in the wrong section, but I do not think it is.
My name is Derek, I'm 19 years old and still a beginner to magic, although I will happily say that magic has had a large impact on me my entire life. I've been watching magic ever sense I can remember, and its always had a very profound effect on me.

I would have gotten into performing the art sooner, had I had any resources, but a few years ago I discovered magic courses online (E) and have gone from there. After about a two year hiatus I'm feeling invigorated and I'm getting into it again. However, I don't have the pleasure of living in Cali or NY, but a little north of Atlanta, GA. I was just wondering if anyone else was in the area, or even knew of some good resources around this area. Hope to hear from you soon! And a merry Christmas Eve to you.

Welcome to the forums, i'm sure you will find people very helpful and welcoming.

I do not live anywhere near you, but i have the same problem, as there are not any magic shops around me. What I did, and what I suggest you do is look around and keep an eye open for any magicans in the area at restaurants or anything. See if there is a local chapter of I.B.M (international brotherhood of magicians) or S.A.M. (society of american magicians). If you can find someone to talk to and sit in on one of thier meetings that is a great way to get started.
