Hey guys,
Im new here, and I´ve bought a couple of mentalism tricks here. However, I am searching for a 100% pure impromptu mentalism DVD. Which one would you recommend? I read a lot of comments from former buyers and I do not understand what they mean that some of the DVD teaches in an aggressive way?

I want to be able to show friends, co-workers and family members impromptu.
And I would also appreciate if you could recommend a "mentalist wallet" with "peek" function and be able to do "card into wallet trick", and many other tricks.

i want to use it as a daily wallet, with many opportunities for tricks, and I want it to have a normal size and design.

I'm not familiar with it entirely, but the DVD 'Nothing' by Max Maven comes to mind. I would look into that. Also it has been mentioned before (by David I think?) that there is a difference between 'impromptu' and 'improvisational', and both are worth your consideration as a performer. While it's good to be able to do something with nothing prepared, it's another thing to be prepared but act like you aren't.
I think I heard Gregory Wilson say (perhaps he was quoting the Professor?) that with your audience, you should be so far ahead of the game that they don't even know there's a game being played.

I used to do Healed and Sealed. There's a setup for this, but I remember at work one time, some co-workers were talking about a trick I had done the week before, and I could get the sense they were hinting at me to do something else and I could see the question coming. So I went to the bathroom before my lunch break and prepared a can. I placed it in the recycle bin with the other cans and bottles. I went back to work for another 15 minutes until lunch break. While on lunch break someone asked to see a trick. I said I didn't really have anything on me. I thought for a second and thought well there was this one thing I read in a book a long time ago. It was about perception and how we see the glass as either half empty or half full. Take an empty can for instance... and proceeded to do Healed and Sealed. This KILLED.

Their perception of what happened was very different that what actually happened. Even though an elaborate and delicate setup was required, it was so worth the effort. So absolutely learn some impromptu material to always be prepared, but don't be afraid if there are some non-impromptu things in there as well!
