The right direction to learn this card trick?

Hi fellow magicians,

I have been doing card magic for the past 5 years as a hobby. Today I viewed a video of this guy performing a magic trick on chatroulette. He asks the person to say a card out loud. When he flips the card over, it is in fact their card. I've been searching where to buy this trick (if it is a gimmick deck) for hours. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it. I can't wait to see the reaction on my family's face.

Here is the video if you want to see exactly what trick I am talking about:

Thanks much!

One way to achieve this....

You have a random facedown card and have someone name any card... If you do this to enough people, eventually someone will name the right one. If you video tape all of your attempts, then you will eventually have a successful trick!

isn't this the marlo's . its like when he was a magician he had competition with another magician in his town . so oneday the other magician asked marlo what kind of magic u do.so hesaid till i take out my deck say any card u like and the card was on top of the deck. this is the kind of magic i do

yes i think this is the way to do it and have 2 cards so u will have a higher chance and do a colour change.

Didn't watch the video but this could be achieved by using a pocket card index (Advocate) and a McMillan switch or another card switch.

Wow, chat roulette actually has girls on it and not something else like south park had me believe....anyway, like other's have said it's just trying it over and over again.

Some people on TMS do this and they only try once. It's probably a real trick and you probably wouldn't have to need multiple attempts. But I know nothing about this effect and would like to learn it. :)

You could do this with EQ. I know there is a card in wallet effect that does exactly that for live audiences.

As for the one with Chat Roulette. Just keep doing it till you get a winner, then only show the winner. You now have a miracle on your hands.

Or use an ID or a B wave deck. problem solved.

This guy isn't just doing it over and over. He's got too many different (obscure) cards and he's not doing anything to psychologically force them. He's probably holding the ace of spades due the the great odds, but there is a difference between him turning the AoS over and any other card. Without a deck on hand...I can see a few ways (in my mind) to pick up a card from the desk and get it to look like the one card I was holding.

I like the calling card idea, visually stunning and catches everyone off guard.
