What is the wire?
no just kidding, but about wire.

Does anyone know what wire is used for wiregrams? i was thinking that i might be able to make some myself. but not sure where to start.

hahaaa i was like, "Chris.. asking about the wire? nahhh" lol but umm im not quite sure but i think the only way to pick it up is through ellusionist, but idk

In fact, I'll save you the time:

The wiregrams are made up of a metal called Nitinol. Nitinol was created back in 1958 by William Buehler, a metallurgist working for the U.S. Naval Ordinance Laboratory.

During his research, he noticed that one of the metals he was testing could be bent into any desired shape.
The reason why Nitinol works has to with how the atoms inside the metal are arranged. Nitinol is made up of two elements, Nickel and Titanium. When the metal is heated, Nitinol undergoes a phase change. When that happens, the atoms move their position from one place to another.

It's all quite simple, but few people know about it. And like Vernest said, it's known as memory metal.
