Vanishing/Appearing Cane Silk Size

So I'm starting to get more and more into stage magic. Therefore i thought i should purchase the 2 most iconic stage effects ever: The Appearing and Vanishing Cane.

Both of these effects require silks. So I wanna ask the people out there that use these effect regularly: What size silk is good? Like big enough to be visible but small enough so that it wont slow down the canes.

I know there are lots of you who dont use these props but i know at least some of you do. So if you have any advice please tell me.

A Diamond cut silk will work well with the vanishing and appearing cane. 12 inches may be the best size but it is really up to you.

Vanishing Cane

I agree, 12" silk is perfect. But you have to time the transformation process before going for any odd sized silks. The bigger the silk, the slower it takes to vanish the cane...

When I use the vanishing cane I use a lot of silk streamers.
but really it's up to you what you want to put in it.
