I am planning to release a new effect soon. I just got one problem. Where do you get the audio? I know you can't use copyrighted audio so how do you put sound effects/music into the video?

Royalty free means that once you download/purchase the track, you can use it in any project and never have to pay the creator of the track again. Some royalty free tracks are free itself, so you don't have to purchase anything, but if there is a royalty free track you have to buy, you only have to pay that creator a one-time fee to use their track on anything you put up for sale.

To expand: Royalties are a fee paid to the person or people who created whatever it is you're using.

In this case, it would be the musician who created the music. Since you are potentially profiting from the use of their creation, they are owed a royalty for creating it. This is pretty much the same thing as buying a DVD when you want to a magic trick. You pay whatever the DVD costs, a portion of that (the royalty) goes to the creator.
