theory11 — Magic Tricks & the World's Finest Playing Cards

What do you guys think?

My biggest worry about this trick is how many angles can you really do it from. Your angles were all about the same. Plus, is this a trick you can do just in front of a camera?

This looks really good. It probably uses a gimmick so the practicality of the gimmick could be a factor if it's something you're considering selling. Also, like RediSpades said, angles are probably a huge factor. If you can get footage of a live performance for someone, it would give a really good idea of how practical this effect would really be to perform for people. If all of those things aren't a problem, you've got a really nice effect on your hands. :)

Although it looks fairly decent, I don't believe this type of vanish is anything new so to speak. I've seen many magicians including myself use that same sharpie vanish numerous times in a routine with and without the aid of something extra.

It looks like you're using a pull of some sort. Though the short sleeves/ no jacket in a couple of the vanishes is a nice convincer. I agree though, this looks angle sensitive. Do you have any actual performance video of this effect?

Thanks for the repleys guys. It is like most vanishes, and yes it is a little angle sensitive. But I will find or make a performance video.
