What Should I Do?

I'm a little foggy on the name. Escapes and rope magic aren't my specialty, I just know a few good pieces.

If you can, pick up a copy of Mark Wilson's from the local magic shop. The Great Coat Escape can be rehearsed and performance ready in about a week if you practice properly.

Otherwise, some form of magical escape that you can have performance ready quickly will do. Again, it's the Houdini thing that people can relate to, and the effect itself is simple enough for any audience to easily grasp.

I dont really want to perform the 100 Foot because I don think some people will find it magical, just a feat. Now the in and out is more like a comedy style magic thing. Where you keep slipping out but then it seems like your are tied tightly at all times. etc.

I dunno..
Still havent decided yet.
I currently use the Tony Clark In and Out Escape as well as the Comedy Houdini Rope Tie (not sure if thats the name). Basically the similiar effect with a different tie

Cool so you already have tony clarks in and out rope escape, I do not think dove work would be good in this situation you do not know if the kids have a bird allergy, if it is well ventilated I do not see a problem other then this. Do you have doves? If not, crack out of the park.
Silk magic like a jumbo blendo could play well. 21st century silks is a cool one to play around with.

DOVE MAGIC.

That takes care of your audience's age range, and wows/intrigues just about everyone in the friggin' area.

And we're right back to horrifically impractical solutions.

What does it take to make magicians rub two brain cells together and actually form an intelligent thought?

Dove magic is not something you can just learn in a month or so. It takes a lot of time to train them and also take care of them.

Another thing you could do is paper balls over the head. It's very funny and should be pretty easy to learn.

I dont think paper balls over the head will work as I dont want to put focus on one audience member.
