theory11 — Magic Tricks & the World's Finest Playing Cards
These playing cards were supposedly printed in the 70's for the gaming tables, but never saw any 'real action'. They were immediately sold in the gift store thereafter. The classic Jerry's Nugget playing cards were made from top of the line US Playing Card Company card stock, that is not available today, which makes the cards much thicker. The U.S.P.C. also used a chemical finish then, which is also not available today - due to environmental reasons.
Forgive my ignorance, but I really don't know. Why did they stop printing them? Especially when everyone says they're great.
Brad - thanks for that - really detailed - great post.
Don't pay any attention to Mortician ....he's just following me around the forum.
The best thing you've said all day is, "Baller is right..."
So...let me get this straight....your way of "getting me back" because I rattled you and made you lose your cool on here is....you...are...going to .....spam me? LOL LOL!!
Wow...
I hate art and paying money for it is a waste. (Charity anybody?)
but I LOVE Nuggets...even if it is because a million teenagers think I am the BOMB for owning them...
I am willing to invest in a prop that has NO real value...SURE - it is my BLING...
I have lost my cool
Baller just was stating stupid stuff but then again it wasn't supposed to be taken that seriously. I truly don't believe that Morgician realizes that Baller is laughing at this message thinking that he made it so proper.
I believe that if a famous magician uses a cheap deck then I see no reason why the deck should also be famous. If WH took a dump in a certain toilet and was discontinued then should you pay an excessive amount of money to take a crap in something when a similar product does it equally well or even better?
Bingo, coastaldude!
LOL LOL! I really laughed out loud when I first read that. That's too funny...yet so simple and true. However, that is exactly what most people are doing with drolling over the Jerrys.
Like I said to Morgician, the owners of a large quantity of Jerry's...they're the smart ones.....it's the kids (or adults) who can barely pay their cell phone bill but is shelling out $200 for a deck of cards because they think it gives them some bragging rights...those are the people that I was talking about.
PS: You should send Wayne your post....I think he'll get a huge laugh out of it. He seems to have a really good sense of humor.
PSS: Who many times does Morgician mention Lee Asher in his post?
The big question is...can Morgician make a post with...mentioning Lee Asher?
