why my preqel :S ?

i can do dan and dave preqel in 6 or 5 seconds but i look at the mirror it dont give the same shape as dan does maybe cuz iam fast?

Too much speed ruins everything. Make sure you perform it smoothly and also, make sure you go through the explanation correctly.
Update: it would be reasonable to upload the performance on YouTube. We, of course, are magicians, but not real mind-readers.

Try to do this

If you don't already do, try to perform it with your hands a little bit higher, lets say about in front of your face.
I'm getting into it in these days like you and I noticed that's true: the most important thing in this flourish is the smoothness... however I can't do it fast.

i have doing it for 2 weeks until now however it is easy and very good in dan hand cuz he do it fast but in the same time smooth
