So I really like Jordan Lappings idea of sharing your best screw up stories for us to read. I actually learned a fair bit from that thread, and got a few laughs as well. With that, how about sharing some of the best reactions you've received from either a single effect or routine. I'm sure we wouold all be encouraged to know what kind of reactions are possible to get.
For me, I was performing for a group of perhaps 15 - 20 counselors and staff at my church's Jr High camp. I got some really good and excited reactions from the entire show, but this was the best.
I did an extremely simple, off the cuff mind read on one of the girl counselors (Sadie). Sadie's card was the two of spades. I stared at her with a look of concentration...then stated that it was a lower ranked card. This on it's own got a startled reaction. I then told her that it was black and that it was a two. By this time, Sadie was freaking out pretty badly, but when I finally said that it was the two of spades, she screamed and ran out of the room. Everyone else was cheering and yelling and one of the Band members just sat there with his mouth hanging open, eyes wide as saucers.
Definately one of the best moments ever in my magic career!
