Are the gimmicks in Identity something that a hypothetical lazy college student in the middle of nowhere could get materials for, or do they require that said hypothetical lazy college student in the middle of nowhere be near a hardware store (which is also apparently in the middle of nowhere...)?

Thanks in advance.

The two effects I've concentrated on (Breach and Devil's Touch) require a couple things that are a tad hard to find. One requires a hardware store or an internet connection and the other one you really have to get online unless you bump into it by chance.

What about for Rip? Is Rip practical and can I re-use the gimmick, or is it something I make for each time I perform?

The gimmicked version of breach contains one little thing which you can pick up online, I get mine from other hard sources though, not hard to find at all.

Devil's Touch doesn't require anything you can't find or make from things you'll have at the house - Especially if you're a student you're bound to have millions of pens to play with!

It might just be me but I didn't have the special "you know what" lying around for the pen version for Devil's Touch so I had to get one online. As for Breach I went to 3 hardware stores before I could find "it".

It could be just that I'm used to using the breach 'thing' (I hate using code :p) as it's required in some of my own works, but they're not difficult to locate.

As for the pen, the things are readily available in the UK, used in lots of catalogue stores, evidently not in Long Island though. So As Ben's in NY at the moment, it may be tough for him - I'm sure he can drop a few PMs when he gets the book from Daniel though!:)

Right, so what about Rip?

(sorry I'm so demanding)
IIRC One of the versions uses a very popular magican's tool that you should find at a local magic shop and definitely be able to get online. If you don't like it there's also a version with another widely known gimmick so you should be OK with that.

Edit: D, I've never even heard of a catalog store lol
