Fraud / Greed

I have a few questions regarding the making of the gimmick for both Fraud and Greed. (well, mainly greed)

I was wondering if it'd be weird to use dollars instead of Pounds here in the UK. from a spectator's perspective, it does look a bit odd that im carrying around dollars instead of pounds. I might as well carry around a rabbit and a magicians hat.

So here my question lies: Would it be weird to perform Greed with Dollars even though you're not IN america?

it could be seen as a little bit suspicious yes. im not too familiar with pounds but i know its a bit challenging to work with them instead cause of size and colar varieties, (unless im thinking euros). one possible option is to alter your patter to accomodate this. you could mention that "american money" is funny, and that it does strange things which is why you are using it. Just be creative, and since greed cleans up so well, it shouldn't be too suspicious. The only real issue i see is ive always found greed to be so powerful because you can "borrow" someone's dollar on the streets here then go into it. maybe danny will chime in and give some idea's about using pounds.

-It could raise a little bit suspicious.

-But here is something that you can do:

-Say that you took a trip to America and you kept some US Dollars as souvenirs

-Then say that the numbers and letters are a secret code to the money and that it can do something special

-Then you can perform Greed from there

Be creative and see what you can come up with

it'd be nice if danny dropped by, His thoughts would be much appreciated.

Anyways you're right. the sizes and colours of pound currencies vary. (Greatly may i add.) I was opting to use Play-Money instread (monopoly money?) And change them to Blank bills. (Go wild with the patter.) Or like wise with dollars, etc.

But the main problem Lies. Dollars within a foreign country. Suspicious. True.

You could also, instead of changing value, change currencies throught the effect. You would need to find similar sizes for the first change, but after that, the bill is folded smaller, so it could still presumably be any country's bill size.

Also, the inclusion of different countries, perhaps under the presentation of currency exchange, or a trip wround the world, justifies the use of any currency not your own.

As for colours, I am Canadian, and all of our bills are different colours as well, but I managed to construct the gaff. It takes some experimentation, and trimming to make sure you don't have the wrong colour(s) showing at the wrong time, but once you figure it out, it's easy to do.

Yes, yours.

Getting back on topic- i wouldnt say that it'll actually work on Pound notes. they differ massively on size and colour. Damn.

From what I understand the Brits are pretty proud of their pound. They rejected going to the Euro.

You could start the trick by saying that American money is garbage and make fun of it. Then claim that it is easy to manipulate. Make a joke out of it.

On the other hand, there is a guy on youtube who performs the trick with a Malaysian bill to prove that it is not limited to just US currency.

Type these keywords into youtube and it will come up.
