Matrix levitation. Is it practical?

I have read up various different DIY methods for this on the internet, and even looked at the real one. Im wondering if any of you guys use this? Is it practical?
Im jsut realising how cool this effect would be to actually do.

I dont actually remember where I saw it. It was awhile ago. But I do remember seeing it once, was like 300-ish bucks.
