The effect is Micro Dissolve I believe. As it does look very visual, Digital Dissolve happens in the spectator's hands, which always makes that moment of magic that much stronger. There is a requirement for Micro Dissolve, as you have to wear something to justify an action. If you want to go impromptu, but happens in your hands, go Micro. If you want a gimmicked, yet open version that happens in their hands, get Digital. In my opinion, Schoolcraft gimmicks are worth even more than the combo (DVD + Gimmicks for $44.95). You get precision made gaffs that will last you a long time, and it's definitely worth the price tag.
