Also to dispel the rumor that there were only 3,000 brown Wynn decks available. In a recent visit to USPC (their factory is very close to us) there were still 49 cases of 144 decks (over 7,000 decks). These decks are on hold for a certain un-named customer ;>).

Very Interesting

Maybe the reference to more of them in 2008 in the newsletter was these. Who knows could be the wynn casino printing more. What cards are they using now?

Don't listen to that guy

We think the red and blue are a closer mirror to Jerry’s because of the same color schemes and the “Bee” feel.

^Thats the biggest f'n lie ever

Jerry's and wynns have a completely different color schemes.

I have red&blue wynns and own blue jerry's.

Nothing alike.

The thing to remember is:
Who are these guys making these claims? Are they a reliable source of information? Are they trustworthy? Take those things into consideration before you take what they have said as the truth.

Yes, Jamie (fullboatdealer) knows what he's talking about; although the information that the US Playing Card Company dispenses can be suspect at times.
Keep in mind you're dealing with a company that sells 100 million + decks of cards a year, and in the case of the Wynn decks, they're basically selling what is to them; trash. They're cards that a client didn't want anymore, and were for some reason unfit for casino play. A bunch of teenagers trying to scrounge up a dozen decks is a pain in the ass for them and their wholesalers.

Whoever the "private buyer" is, why does it matter? They've purchased the cards, and they will do with them what they want. Selling them to you is probably not in the cards, so don't lose sleep over it.

yeah, CM12345. i think the closest JN look-alike would be Dunes.

I thought Dunes were worth way more than Jerrys.

Like on dananddave.com/forum dan asked if anyone had a Dunes deck in exchange for a jerrys deck instead of going ebay, but people thought Dunes were worth WAY more and wanted two or three Jerrys, maybe signed.

I agree. Ive been dealing with Jamie for a long time. He only lives a few minutes away from me. The USPC may be shady with the info they release via email, but I assure you they will answer all your questions if you are there spending money. Even the ladies who work in the retail area are deck collectors. These sellers DO visit places like this to see whats hot, as well as take requests to carry a certain deck.

I dont see why anyone would lie about there being 7,000 decks on hold for someone. Where do you all think they get these cards from?

It shouldnt matter anymore how many of these decks there are. 1000 or 100,000. The bottom line is, THEY ARE NOT RARE!! If you like them then you can get them at a reasonable price, from several different places, including Jamie.

It doesn't work like that. Casinos cancel their cards to prevent cheaters from getting a hold of the cards that are being used on the floor.
They wouldn't sell multiple thousands of uncanceled decks only to re-use the same back design.

The guy can say whatever he wants regarding them being "a closer mirror to Jerry's", because it's a matter of opinion. He didn't say they were "close to Jerry's", he just said they were closer than the brown Wynns.

The point is someone started a rumor about there only being 3000 and that they would not reprint them. And here they are. The casino would not reprint them, they didnt even keep using them. Thats why there are so few.

If they aren't being produced, they are rare. Every deck that opens, removes permenantly that deck from the card pool. Even if there is 500,000,000 of them, which doesn't seem rare, eventually they will all be gone. Heck one day 808 Rider Backs will probably be rare, rare is a very subjective and bendable term. The biggest thing that makes them rare is that, if Theory 11 has boght all 500,000 of them (random number) then they are the only place that can sell them. It is then up to them to determine how rare they are and limit supply and increase demand. It is how the diamond industry works. There are billions of diamonds, but because they sparkle they make out they are awesome, then limit their distribution which ups their value considerably.

I agree that they compare to Jerry's, but their still not AS good. Now I don't own any red/ blue wynns, but I have jerrys.

That someone was theory11.

What?
I doubt that T11 would lie to us.
Could they have made a mistake? Yeah, their human. But the info this guy said about the cards is probably just a hoax.
