Hi - I was wondering if any of you new of any female magicians that have won FISM championships. (Beside duos). I've been looking at some of the past competitors, so any input ot knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

What do you think every magician should have or keep in their bags (ie; goings to gigs or a show)? Besides - Sharpies, cards, performance material, and the other *obvious* items.

I'm not that great at cardistry at the moment, but I'd recommend starting with very basic flourishes. Things like the Charlier Cut are essential as it branches off into moves like The Butterfly Cut, or The Revolution Cut (both are extremely aesthetically pleasing and useful in putting together...

As soon as the card move becomes an actual move, instead of a repetitive game of 52 pickup - You know you've done something right.
