If you are interested in learning about magic in general, I would suggest hitting up a public library and reading some books on it. There are lots of great books, and many even contain some secrets too ;)

Over the past couple of years I've been developing my show to be about choices. All the effects are about choosing in some way and the results of those choices. My goal is to then develop a talk that can be given (to a corporate audience) about how to make strong choices at work and at home...

There's always coin through a card. I heard that there was pretty visual, deceptive, and easy to do method on the wire..... can't remember the name.... :p

With regards to sponge balls, I only work adult and corporate shows, and when I do sponge balls I get some of the loudest reactions. Last year I had one lady who as soon as she opened her hands and saw two balls instead of one, she screamed, launch out of her chair and shove me with both hands...

My favorite monarchs are the gold and the red ones. The Green has by far the nicest box.

If it's what I'm thinking, the method is quite old. I read it in a kids magic book from the library ages ago. A similar idea to the newspaper strip prediction. There is one printed idea in Karl Fulves book Self-Working Mental Magic (1979). He calls it the Want Ad Test. (p. 53)

Man what a great effect. I haven't used mine in ages. I should bust that out again. I know mine actually got looser with use over time. The trouble is that if you do add something it will make it that much more noticeable. You could try using the side of your nail a bit to see if that works...
