    Creating a small street show.

Not right at the get go since card effects are more of a close up sort of setting. French Kiss might be able to draw you some attention however since that can be played up really dramatically. I think two card monte can get some nice spectator involvement as well and get solid reactions. But if...

    Creating a small street show.

Alright I finally have some time to address some of the questions you raised earlier. First I'm going to go over what I found to be successful for me and then try to relate my experience to how it may help you. So you may have noticed when the busking portion of the video starts, we zoom in on...

    Magic Competition

Here is my second live street magic compilation. It features some of the best reactions I have ever received at a magic party the magic club at U of M put on. It also features my first experience ever with busking as well as sword swallowing. Hope you guys enjoy! Also, I would love for more of...

    Creating a small street show.

Feel free to ask them here if you can in case other people have your same question and perhaps we can answer it for them in this post. If it's more personal than that, by all means hit up my PM. I'm always happy to help with whatever ways I can.

    Creating a small street show.

Here is my "alpha testing" of a busking set I'm working on. For each of my shows, I had around 30 people at the height of each of my shows that I performed. I hope this may help you with your question. If you have any more questions, I will do my best to answer them.

    Drawing a crowd

Hey everyone! I was fortunate enough to capture footage of my first attempt ever at busking. Each of my shows that I did had around 30 people at the height of the show. Would love to get feedback and advice from the more experienced and professional buskers. Thanks in advance!

    Negative Feedback From People

Go on almost any magic video shared on the major networks on Facebook and read the comments. Almost everyone in the comments goes on about how something like French Kiss or Healed and Sealed 2.0 "isn't magic because I saw how it was done on YouTube". You don't have to be heavily into magic in...

    Negative Feedback From People

Git gud. :p I kid but in all honesty, you may really want to reflect on three critical questions in your performance: 1. What you are performing? 2. How you are performing it? 3. Why you are performing it? Question one is probably the easiest to answer. So many people have learned card tricks...

Saturday Night Contest - Sleights In Action

Wanted to try something a little different by highlighting two card manipulation sleights at the same time. It was more difficult to shoot than I anticipated but I like the contrast of angles. https://www.instagram.com/p/BW6IzTNBZrY/?taken-by=rtscott94 Good luck everyone!

    Ring magic!!

It's not impromptu, but Ring Flight Revolution is my favorite ring effect on the market. I open with it whenever I'm doing street magic and it's the perfect effect to set the tone because you are doing magic with a borrowed intimate object. I did a video review of it if you are curious about...

Duplicate signature from an audience member

I've been working on this exact concept for a while for a presentation I'm working on. The conclusion I came to is the best method is anything that uses Marc Salem's B.O.A.D. principle. With that in mind I've been in talks with a custom card making company about them making a highly customized...

How important is card magic in your opinion?

I rarely do card magic for a number of reasons. 1.) A lot of card magic is boring. A lot of my team think it's boring and even I get bored watching other magicians do card magic. I believe the reason for this is because it's unrelatable to everyday life. Despite what most magicians believe, a...

Playing Cards in Mentalism. Yes or No?

It's funny you mention that, I'm currently practicing Past, Present, Future by Rick Lax as I'm taking breaks on the forums.

    Links?

As far as I am aware, you can't hyperlink in the video so you will need to put it up on the screen for viewers to type out.

Saturday Night Roundtable - Blake Vogt

    1. You dropped out of Purdue to pursue a magic career which was clearly a good choice. What helped influence that life changing decision? 2. Do you take more pride in being a performer or a creator? 3. What is your favorite memory at Disneyland?

    Gold Monarchs Review!

At long last, the Gold Monarchs review! Sorry for my absence. I have been crazy busy this spring/summer. I have a bunch of ideas I want to put out as far as content and just not enough time to do it. That may or may not be a good thing. Regardless, hope you enjoy the new format I'm experimenting...

    Magic + Robotics

Hey I follow you guys on YouTube! Nice to see you on the Theory11 forums as well. I've always loved the gizmos that Mario comes up with. Apparently David Blaine does as well. I'm curious as to how Mario is liking working with David Blaine and how Mario's expertise in robotics and circuitry is...
