Hey guys, So i finally caved in the other day and picked up a copy of modern coin magic by BOBO. Im curious how to start though... Should i practice and perfect all the holds, drops, switches, vanishes, etc. first, or should I learn tricks one by one, and just perfect whatever sleights...

To answer your question its because thumb cuts and X cuts are 2 different moves. Jerry C. came up with the X cuts and put them in his book EOPCF along with the thumb cuts. The reason MLB doesnt do just thumb cuts is because the X cuts look sleightly diiferent and can be usedin combos like L-X...
