I think what you're thinking of is mentalism. I wouldn't recommend mind reading unless you're really going to commit to it. If you're known for your card tricks then people won't think you can REALLY read minds which ruins the effect.

Any magic trick or flourish or sleight of hand move can be performed left handed. Just reverse the actions.

Yes. They play out just as well. Lots of them play a lot better in a sit down situation like Deja Vu (my favorite trick on the set) but some like Tivo and Tivo 2.0 are great little short tricks you can do standing up.

Thanks. I find it funny how professional mentalists use the same method to read minds that one of my first card tricks was based off of and yet it still fools me and they convince people that they're reading their mind.

I saw those videos a long time ago and I really liked what you said about how before the trick you want them to really burn your hands to see if they can catch the trick or whatever. I say that every time I perform it now. It's a little thing but it REALLY helps with the misdirection.
