Good choices, but if you like out of the box thinking like they guys you listed, check out some of Luke Jermay's original work. Makes me laugh when I see some of his simple and bold methods that completely shatter your spectator.

I really like The Invisible Palm, but the bad thing is that is that your surface has to be flat, so you can't use a slanted desk top or rough surface, and there can't be any wind. The slightest wind, or shake of the surface by someone bumping in to it can ruin the effect.
