Hey man, I'm doing a kid's show on the 11th and was viewing this thread for an idea to get little kids started in magic. I don't know about this crayon trick either. Why don't you just post what happens in the trick instead of pming him all secretly . . . . just like a magician to do that. ;)

Audience management. Control your audience. Don't let them stand behind you when you do an effect like some creeper. Say something to them. "You won't be able to see anything from back there." Bring the deck in closer to your stomach. It makes it hard for them to see the deck. They'll work...

I'm not sure, but really what does that matter? Either way you're doing something pretty impressive to laymen. Mind reading/card tricks, it's all magic in their eyes. Don't stress it.

I don't know. I would perform sponge balls at a restaurant for kids and adults. The whole family seems to love it. Yeah the sponge balls could get dirty, but that could happen anywhere you're performing. At the end of the night, you can wash them if they're dirty, they're sponges after all...
