Tip: To make it look just a bit more authentic you could rip the page you will use for the puzzle out of a journal or sketch book before printing it. You could also just rip the edge of the puzzle so that it looked like it had been ripped out of a book.

Tip: If you wanted to obscure the last revelation a great way to do so would be to put the picture upside down. This would work especially well if you didn't want to fold up the puzzle to obscure the image.

Tip: One thing to keep in mind is that you can name the chosen character before they say anything. For the video above I asked the spectator before I revealed the puzzle. It's a bit more risky but you could say "I think I can see your picture now, there is some water near by, it's warm, I see...

Yeah here's an alternate trailer with an uncut performance. The back ground noise is a bit distracting so we, the Wire team and myself, decided to go with the trailer you find on the product page. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjwhhSLBsZw

Free Color Change, I Love Trains

This is one of my favorite color changes, originally published in my lecture notes a few years back and included on a couple other products. This is my take on Frank Garcia's Topper. Check it out, and check out it's applications, I hope you use it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjoI5T98bvg

Saturday Night Roundtable - Jason England

You are one of the few who demonstrate cheating techniques professionally, how do you make a gambling demonstration entertaining? Do you have a certain theory that you favor as to the identity of S.W. Erdnase? When you perform almost only card magic how do you put together a show and keep it...

    tricks for big audiences

I think one of the easiest types of magic to transition with if you're a close up kinda guy is rope magic. Something like professors nightmare is easy to do, fairly strong for a lay audience and cheap to both learn and do. You can find the explanation in most books at the library. Something you...

    Showmanship Forum

It's tough to justify making another forum especially where some of the others get so little traffic. Although if we already have card coin and cardistry forums mentalism is just another step logically. If we were to expand Theory11's site at all I would like to see a live magic index. Maybe...

    New Creators

Just get out and perform as much as possible and always make it clear that you'd love to do more. There are tons of venues to get flight time. You can do open mic nights of course if you can handle the crowd but with the summer coming up there are tons of opportunities for talent shows. Many...

Joey definitely has skills. He has won a couple of these contests before. I wouldn't be surprised if they chose his video again :)

What do we expect our spectators to believe?

Of course. What our audience is going to think should be at the for front. What we want to convey as performers helps us chose material, scripting and venue. It is one of the most important things we can ask. Unless you'd like this forum to not go any deeper than "Who's your favorite...

What do we expect our spectators to believe?

There was no question. The audience should come in expecting the magician to play that role. Any, type of theater can say "I'm taking the role of a magician, pretend with me". Look at the musical wicked, the way she flys is completley transparent by design but they can get awaywith it becaus...

What do we expect our spectators to believe?

Haha I did like the movie. I doubt that was possible when Lennart Green, Apollo Robbin's, and Helder Guimeres performed at TED. For me I don't know if I'v ever been the smartest guy in the room. We're not all Uri Geller, haha. They still need to understand that it's fake though, even if...

What do we expect our spectators to believe?

The reason of why you are going isn't the point. Everybody goes for different reasons. When they watch the show though there is an understanding that what they are seeing isn't real. If we as magicians claim otherwise it is wrong. I believe that Penn and Teller are two of the greatest magical...
