    Street magician - Tricks

Quoted for so much truth its unreal. Mark Wilson's complete course was one of the first magic books I bought many moons ago, and i still use stuff out of it now. Especially the match book trick. when I'm meandering around. Some old classics still hit as hard today as they did when they were devised.

Good spot. In which case.....how does he know that was -the- method if he even saw it? Lol.

    Why Not Battle Artists

The only problem with the idea that I can see is that the artists are busy and that due to the fact that they are an artist here, even if the other guy was genuinely better, a lot of people here would vote for them purely because they were the artist. So basically the other guy would have to...

    Change by d+M - Answer?

Tman, krazytim, seems we're on the same page, so I apologize if what I said was ambiguous, but you both seem to have got my point. From my point of view, Change is a piece of performance art by D+M, rather than an actual color change, and my intent was only to steer the discussion onto that...

    Change by d+M - Answer?

I never -said- that anyone needed to be a professional to post an opinion on a change. Where did you get that from? I merely gave the dictionary definition of a Professional. It's impossible by definition to be a professional that performs once a week unless you live off that full time...

    Change by d+M - Answer?

Hit a nerve did I? To perform magic professionally means you have to do it as a job. A paid performance a week a professional does not make. A professional musician for example doesn't play a gig a week, they live off their performance money. If you live solely off of performing magic then good...

    Change by d+M - Answer?

I once again reitterate. Why do you care? Its a seemingly impossible color change that can be added to a long list. He apparently has devised a way of changing a card with no visible finger movement and ending clean, and for some unkown reason can only perform it on camera, be it web cam or...

    Thought

I agree that the thinking of a card thing doesn't add much to this trick, as you then proceed to turn the deck face up and run through it, lol, which kind of mitigates the belief that you might somehow have magically found their thought of card. Other than that, this was good, and I don't...

    Gaff Battle: Ready to Vote

Cringe got my vote largely because he actually performed for people rather than a camera thus proving that the trick worked for the audience he was using it on. (Which is the acid test imo for any gaff.)

    Anyone up for pass battle?

LOL. A pass in front of a camera is just jacking off. I agree with the above firmly here. My pass is obvious if I do it in front of a camera, but I've never been rumbled when performing. Why is that? Its called eye contact and talking to the audience, basic misdirection in transit actions etc...

    D&D selling Jerry's Nuggets for $1?

LOL This thread wins the award for the biggest circle jerk over a deck of cards ever. Just because some idiot is willing to pay 500 bucks for a deck of cards doesn't make them worth 500 bucks.

    Change by d+M - Answer?

I mean really, who cares. Change if real is just another impossible looking colour change. It's great because if its real it fries magicians, but in proving its real the method will have to be revealed, which will mean it will no longer fry magicians, as they'll know how its done. To a layman...

    Blind: First Thoughts/Review

Yeah. Pick up the deck and put it in your pocket and start a new trick with the spectators deck. Done. I've performed this at least 100 times and it has -never- got me busted. Ending clean isn't the be all and end all guys.

    Prophet - Hmmm...

It took me about half an hour to make and get exact. It's not hard at all. Anyone who ever did basic craft stuff as a child should be able to knock it together with no difficulty at all.

    GOAT Change / Carolina Change

Beat me to it. No one is going to PM you a move on this forum, least of all a D&D move. They're too respected. Show some respect. You want to learn their move because you really like it? then show your appreciation to the artist and PAY them for it. Buy AndThenSome. What I meant by don't buy a...

    Blind: First Thoughts/Review

yeah what you do is you attatch some invisible thread to the spectators card and pull it really hard into yours on a pully system so fast the spectator can't see. Then while you do a little dance you distract them allowing you to look at it. THEN you secretly change your card for that one by...

    G.O.A.T change

It would fool me if I saw it, so its good enough to perform. Well done. How reliable are you with it? Mine either looks perfect or I look like a total idiot, lol and its about 50/50 at the moment.

    GOAT Change / Carolina Change

Yeah the GOAT change and the Carolina click have totally different methods. Palmer posted a tutorial for the Carolina click to show that it was a different method. He came to it independently, but also points out that he doubts he's the only one to have come up with the Carolina Click concept...

    White Centurions?

No one's arguing they aren't good cards. I haven't had a bad deck from Theory 11 ever and I applaud the site constantly for its production, the argument is whether they are good enough to cost 200 bucks, no matter how rare they are.
