Good point, for clarity, when it is performed on the bottom of the deck it is generally referred to as a pinky pull down. It just seemed like a strange suggestion. While it is a versatile move I don't know if I would expose it for demonstration purposes like I might a second deal, or a bottom deal.

If you are looking for coin tricks Bobo's coin magic is the best place to start. It has a handful impromptu and stand up effects that would help a lot.

I agree with the character part. I would add that it may depend upon the venue as well. I wear a suit at times, but I'll usually stick with just a short sleeve shirt and tie.
