    Human blockhead beginner question...

I would suggest learning this one on one with somebody who is experienced with it and knows all the ins and outs of it. Otherwise you can end up really hurting yourself.

David Blaine's new stunt titled "Electrified"

I thought he mentioned that his next one was going to just be him doing a ton of magic and not any stunts this time.

Could A Female Magician Get On AGT

Doesn't matter when it comes to America's Got Talent. They'd still get booted off the show because the producers pretty much hate magicians.

theory11 decks are getting more expensive

Learn to perform with a hard to use deck of cards. Take that old deck of Bikes/tallys/whatever that you've had in your dresser for awhile and start learning to work with it. While it is a great feeling using cards that are smooth as butter, the main thing you should learn is how to use crappy...

Could A Female Magician Get On AGT

Get on the show? Sure.. But actually manage to anything besides hear Simon say "Dreadful" in a posh accent.. Not likely.

I want to do my own street magic show on youtube.

Forgot to mention that you should at least have some idea of the general direction you want the video's to go. Otherwise it will be very random seem like some kid on youtube vlogging. Which get's annoying enough already. So write down a few effects you perform, then look at them and maybe see...

Muscle pass (anti gravity coin) help!

True, all though a good routine and proper timing and misdirection can take something like the muscle pass and make it seem like a miracle. Though this could be stated for pretty much every sleight or effect.

    First Restaurant Gig - Disaster

It is ALWAYS better to build rapport with people before you perform for them. Michael Vincent talked about this on his first DVD set where he mentioned that before he even brings out props or anything, he simply walks up to the table, he usually offers himself to the people there, and in turn...

I want to do my own street magic show on youtube.

Get a decent handheld camera, get some nice clothes, find a friend who is willing to hold the camera for you. Learn a decent editing program, and just scope out a few places you think might have a reasonable enough foot traffic.

    Handing out Business Cards?

Is this about handing out your business card to random people in the street and stores. Or handing out your business card after you have performed at a gig or at a restaurant gig.

    Getting someones attention

Well if you are performing in a restaurant then they should already have seen what you can do and good you. So the most you can is just either wait for them to call you. I know there are things like press material and whatnot, but I think that stuff is mainly for people who have already seen...

Morgan Strebler vs Criss Angel Featured on Yahoo!

I thought the last time it was a "magic-Battle" with no camera editing or stooges or anything. Just pure sleight of hand magic.. Didn't Criss shoot down that idea because he realized he probably would have been destroyed. Not saying that he doesn't have the chops, just that when you rely...

Invoicing and payment for professional magicians?

Also, if you have a copy machine/scanner built into your printer you can scan the signed contract when it get's back to you and keep the signed "copy" on you at the gig and leave the real one at home. This is just to keep the client from changing their mind about paying you when the gig happens.

    13 steps to mentalism

It's not out dated, though some of the supplies he recommends getting aren't in stock anymore and some of the items may be a tad bit hard to find. But generally everything else in the book is do able today.

    Teaching

Usually a mentor (if they are good and know what they are talking about/doing) can often help smooth out the learning curb on some things as well as help out with questions that books or DVD's usually don't answer. Such as Misdirection, timing and other things in those categories.

Magic is good and bad on YouTube

You need to realize that not many people in their lives have seen magic live (which is why youtube is horrible for it.), so when you go about learning from people on there. You end up hurting yourself AND other people in magic, because word of mouth will spread if you suck (due to learning from...

Magic is good and bad on YouTube

Or you can do the smart thing and actually help improve the industry and not learn from people who have no idea what they are doing. Which is why I mentioned finding a mentor, an actual mentor that has experience and has traveled down the same path you are.
