    Criss Angel Spoofs David Blaine

Bingo! Where is this man's prize?! Seriously it wasn't even funny. I am not a huge fan of either of them. If Angel wants to impress people perhaps he could just perform magic and let it speak for itself instead of dogging other magicians. --Jim

Email I got from Justin Miller...

Pretty disappointing the way this all went down and the owner of the store is getting hate mail over this. An apology to Morgan would be in order as well, not sure why his name was ever mentioned in the first place. Sorry man, I call it like I see it. --Jim

Joshua Jay: Talk about tricks (3 DVD Set)

One of the best DVD sets I have ever bought, period. Josh's column is one of the main reasons that I bought a subscription to Magic magazine. --Jim

    Faro Help...

I went through at least that many decks while learning it on my own without any instruction. The best advice I can give you is don't force the cards into the faro, making contact at a slight angle without forcing it. You shouldn't have to push the decks into each other until they are separated...

Flow by Paul Harris and Dan Hauss

Jason Messina stated that the method was original, it does use gimmicks, it will come with the gimmicks to perform it and it will be $35. If you think you know the method and it is unoriginal I suggest you challenge his statement directly on the Cafe or contact him through the astonishment...

How to hide a deck of cards...

Spot on... Then again summer school might be more attractive because you will have more audience members to practice on when you repeat the course you flunked because you were doing magic during class instead of paying attention =) All depends on which side of the coin is more attractive...

How Many Decks of Cards Do You Rip Through Every Month?

When I was learning to faro shuffle I went through about 4 decks in a few weeks. When I am not trying something new I would say a deck lasts at least a month bearing in mind I am not a flourisher and only do card magic. I have also given away a number of decks to people I perform for on...

    Go to...

Stephen you are quite wise sir and said it much better than I could have after having about 8 tabs open on various things I was working on. The last thing I expected was someone to post a link from these forums that would do something like that to my browser. Hey there is a first time for...

    What's Your Favorite Color Change?

Marc DeSouza's Shapeshifter and Danny Garcia's Ego change are my two favorite to perform but probably not the two I use the most. Side jog change and Erdnase I probably use more often than not. Shapeshifter and Ego Change always garner better reactions though when used as a finisher whereas I...

    Trespass - Dan Army

Haha! My copy is at home and I couldn't remember if it was you or Peter who reviewed it but I even remember someone else reviewing something and calling it "Dan Army Bad".....you know it's bad when you have an adjective named after you.... --Jim

February 08 :: Books Vs. Video

Tommy Wonder - Books of Wonder vs. Visions of Wonder. Now I don't own Visions of Wonder I only own the books. I am still reading the books but I plan to buy the DVD's simply to watch Tommy perform and make me feel like a little kid watching his style and presentation of the wonderful routines...

    Invented... or not

Actually I would want to hear "I have done my homework" because if I know for a fact you are doing something that has already been done by someone else I would be sure to let you know about it. I am sure quite a few people would like to hear "I have done my homework". There are plenty of people...

Best MisDirection Tools, Tips, and Tricks?

Or you could just learn 5 tricks and master them. You could gradually master 300 tricks and always be OK performing all of them or really sink everything into mastering just 5 effects and really putting together a nice plot and storyline around each of those effects. Hey, we all like to...

    Invented... or not

I think it is admirable you are interested in helping other magicians. I would just advise some caution that you do it knowing full well that someone might jump you for teaching material that people should otherwise be learning from the original source. I can understand why you think it...
