Another ethical question - Who would you work for?

Probably recommendations, I've also heard that some restaurant guys MIGHT do it. But they end up getting paid in tips.

    Can a Magician Win AGT?

I too wonder why somebody with a Vegas contract already, is allowed on the show. Wasn't the point of the show to give no name people a chance to prove themselves and possibly get contracts? Sense Murray already has a resume in Vegas and a contract, that pretty much defeats the point of the show...

    Can a Magician Win AGT?

You guys are neglecting to mention one key thing here. Different countries run their TV programs differently than each other. Just because it worked in Sweden or Norway, does not mean it will work in the States.

Don't be a dork. Put all your magic props and crap in the closet and simply just enjoy your vacation for what it is.

How to talk like a magician?

I think you misunderstood what I said. I said that having a script memorized can help you out a lot because it is like a map, Sense you know the map like the back of your hand. You end up being a lot more confident in your words and actions. This "map" also enables to stray from the beaten...

How to talk like a magician?

I think it's good to have a script memorized and down pat to the point where you don't have to think about it. But much like Eugene Burger has said, it's pretty much your map and it allows you to go off the path and then easily find your way back onto it.

    credit card number Mentalism.

Or if you know some hypnosis you can get them to give you their wallet, then you memorize the number and make them completely forget that they gave it to you. This may not work for everybody, but it is an idea.

    Paper Engine Aaron Fisher

The content is most likely the same as it was in the Hardcover version. He just most likely updated the cover, maybe added a bit more to the introduction pages and that's pretty much it.

The most influential dvd set ever released...

Boy, don't correct me on this. I never said Wesley James looked like Erdnase (that would just be stupid, sense Erdnase would have to be 100 or so years old..).

The most influential dvd set ever released...

The problem I see with it is that a lot of those moves are sort of dated, and pretty much a majority of magicians and performers have updated them over the decades to be a bit more practical and less silly looking. So him executing the moves EXACTLY like Erdnase described doesn't really do much...

The most influential dvd set ever released...

Thought he already did this a few years ago and it was pretty mentioned how bad it was.

Pick a card; now I will begin swaying back and forth. Huzah!

You're comparing to completely different performers who do two completely different acts. As the old saying goes. One man's trash is another mans treasure. Maybe what hasn't worked for many magicians, actually works for Gazzo.

Pick a card; now I will begin swaying back and forth. Huzah!

Well the umms and ahhs could obviously be rehearsed as well. Eddie Izzard does that a lot in his act. As far as his sleights go, the man doesn't really need any super advanced sleight of hand. He's not performing for magicians, he's performing for lay people on the street and thus has to...

Pick a card; now I will begin swaying back and forth. Huzah!

I forget who mentioned how to get rid of the blinking thing. But have your friend try this. Have him practice his normal stuff he usually does, but this time have him blink A LOT during practice, like make efforts to blink a crap ton. This should hopefully get rid of the blinking habit once he...

Pick a card; now I will begin swaying back and forth. Huzah!

It's less about actually closing your eyes and more about blinking a bit more than usual when doing a move or sleight. The trick to "cure" it is to just rehearse and practice till you are sick of it. Also being nervous is a completely normal human thing to be when performing in front of...

    2CM learning tool?

Any who, I think Michael Vincent teaches his handling of the effect in his latest DVD set, plus it's Michael Vincent so you know it's gotta be better and plus he also teaches a bunch of other effects as well.

    2CM learning tool?

I'd agree that Kard Klub is probably one of the better E DVD's out there. it's decently priced for what it offers and is something good for most beginners. I remember the "How to do Street magic" DVD and man was that a huge waste of money. 50 bucks for a DVD that teaches like 4 effects and...

    Acr

As an entertainer you are going to get a little bored with your own effects after awhile because of how often you have done them. As for the ACR. I'd say it's entirely up to you how many times it comes to the top.

TNR and Guardians sold at Penguin now?

Aaron Fishers contract expired with Theory11, and they stopped making Panic because the USPCC realized that it altered the back design of their playing cards. You can still learn and make your own gimmick though I think.

    how many tricks ?

Depends on how much time you have. But generally it's better to have maybe 2-3 routines. Anything more and you're bound to annoy and bore people to death. No matter how talented you are. Specially if you are working in an area where people are drinking. Once Booze enter the equation, then their...
