Please forgive my ignorance, but what time do they announce the Saturday night contest? I have yet to enter, but would very much like to.
Thank you

I have found the same principles apply to rings that apply to coins. I prefer silver, and have found thrift stores to be an excellent source. If you can find two of the same, so much the better. They should be loose enough to remove with the hand that is wearing it. I hope this has helped...
O'Brien is absolutely right. All you can do is be polite and hope the rest of the audience is with you. Walk away before you have any chance of being rude.

I would accomplish that with palming, a rub of the hands and the card changes. It might take some time in front of the mirror, but you can do it. Only gimmick when all other options are exhausted.

Many thanks for your time

your question is intriguing, but I could use some more information.
What item are you considering?
Are you proficient with slight of hand?
In what setting will you be presenting this effect?
Are you looking for a gimmick?

I take an ordinary item, coin, card, ball, and make it appear to do something extraordinary. Enjoying magic for my own amusement is my justification, and I have found if I enjoy doing a trick, the spectator also enjoys watching it.
