nexusmagi is right, Ive gained many friends with magic at school!

A good think to have is an "escape" effect. Like an effect to use when you just plain don't want to or don't think it's practical to do magic. An impromptu vanishing deck works well for this.

The DVD's are not taught very well. He does not go over the snap deal very well which is good and bad. The false shuffles one he teaches OK. Those are the only 2 I have watched and really the only 2 in the series worth buying.

Allan Ackerman's advanced card control series is very good. Allan's an expert in this field and teaches it well to both a beginner and experienced magician. False deals and shuffle work, and palming and maybe the faro one would all be good for gambling
