I always thought that underground flourishes were somewhat ridiculous. A magic trick i can kind of understand, but if no one sees a flourish, then it's somewhat pointless. I know some people don't want the public doing their move, don't want it to be as commonplace as a charlier, or simply done...

It's actually quite common and a bit of old news now, but yeah, it is a pretty nifty move. Technically it's not published, but Bone will teach it in his Anaconda DVD (no one really knows when its coming, so don't wait on it). Then again, I'm pretty sure bone does it many times in his vids...

it can go either way, it depends on the performer, the trick, even the audience. I've done things fast and lost the audience, i've done things slow and lost them out of boredom. you gotta find that in between

are you really serious about the 25 cents? unless you're in elementary school or something, you're better off either finding a way to do a show for more, or practicing until you can pull off charging a show for more. for some reason, i find the idea doing little tricks for coins distasteful...

hmm, interesting question. i think a more interesting one is which video(s) got you into flourishing, but i don't feel like starting a thread so similar. So i'll just answer your question. Usually I just watch any video by Daren or jonas, some of the bucks' vids, bone's vids as well

I think its a great idea.. the only possible hard part of doing that is filming it. You can't really go "hey man, could you do me a favor? i'm filming a dvd and i need you to be a royal ass" It might work, but then it wouldn't be as authentic then again, im sure professionals get plenty...

yeah, good luck with the lot of cards. i was curious and searched black ghost when i saw the lot, and there was an auction going on where the bid at the moment was 155 for the bg. so... im thinkin that auction will be at least 250-300

Ebay's the only site I've seen them for sale. You'll either have to wait for an opportunity there or find someone with them. I have a few of the cut decks, but no unopened ones :( i'd like to see what a new deck feels like, seeing as how the old ones are very nice

I don't really think it matters that much how you practice, really. As long as you're doing more than just a cut at random once a day, but less than like 8 hours a day (there is a such thing as overpractice) then it should be fine. Some people set aside practice time, but personally I have...

I think that a valid point has been made, that a lot of the videos have been regurgitating a lot of the same stuff, not only card moves, but just the video feel. I realize that most people here don't have an expensive camera and thousand dollar editing program along with the skills to use one...
